Goal!
At school Lily has a folder that will hold all of her writing. She has to decorate the folder with pictures of her choice. Yesterday she specifically asked me to get a picture of her scoring a goal so that she could put it on her folder. Perhaps she’s just a bit too comfortable with a camera always pointed at her. Bad parent, bad!

I am a computer engineer living and working in Champaign, IL. I’m working for an optical networking company called Finisar. I design and verify digital integrated circuits (ICs, or “computer chips”) and FPGAs.
None of this has anything much to do with the posts on this blog, though. This blog is mostly about my photography and any other rants that happen to meander into my head.

nah…its good they get used to the camera. Tough shot, btw and it turned out nicely.
The only problem is that Lily has now adopted her “standard pose” whenever she sees a camera. Tough to get a candid.
I wasn’t sure if the “shooting into the sun” approach would work or not, but I wanted to try to capture it just that way and see what happened.
I like it, but I’m sure it’s not for everyone’s tastes.
